Welcome to
HopeNation Campus!
We are thrilled to welcome you to a program designed specifically for college students like you—those navigating the transition to adulthood while seeking additional support in healing from trauma. At HopeNation Campus, we understand the challenges that come with this stage of life, and we’re here to help.
Our program uses Somatic-based interventions, which means we focus on both the body and mind in your healing journey. By partnering with your college's counseling center, we provide personalized care when you need it most.
We’re excited to support you in your journey toward healing, growth, and resilience.

Meet Our Director
“Let’s create a mutual understanding that Trauma is a physiological response to an event. Trauma stems from the Greek word meaning wound, it is not only what happened but the absence of what should have happened and didn't. Trauma is a wound not always seen but affects all aspects of our life when unresolved.”
-Casey Merrill LPC-MHSP
Executive Clinical Director, HopeNation
Why HopeNation Campus Utilizes
Somatic-Based Approaches to Therapy
Traumatic memories can be stored as sensory perceptions. The limbic system can often be affected by stimuli that is unpredictable and very present on a college campus. The part of the brain that often stores memories connected with physiological responses is not always engaged through cognitively focused therapy.
Forms of Somatic-Based Therapy Used at HopeNation Campus:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is a method of therapy that involves moving your eyes in a specific way while you process traumatic memories. This can help reduce the vividness and emotional impact associated with those memories.
Brainspotting: Brainspotting is a method that identifies, processes, and releases core neurophysiological responses to Trauma. This approach is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with bilateral sound.
Emphasis on Mind and Body Wellness: HopeNation Campus includes Somatic-based therapy to increase the connection between thoughts and behaviors. This approach helps reduce symptoms and provides relief in as few as two sessions.
